HI Rod,

Nosotros have a request to check protocol TLS one.2 has enable or non for application testing server which needs to be done for 400 server,

which all are windows server.

That isn't articulate.

I already explained browsers use TLS i.1 and TLS 1.2 already, but if SSL 2.0 or 3.0 is enabled, they can notwithstanding utilize this,

Y'all shouldn't exist using the browsers on servers either.

Can you lot show me the full, actual question yous have - I assume from a pen exam report

How-do-you-do Rod,

nosotros tin check via regedit from the below path  HKLM Organization\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols,

but i need script to check for my 400 servers.

That doesn't tell you if its enabled, that is the nix order.

Given y'all know information technology's a registry entry yous could run a custom script at login to cheque this and save it to a file.

My question however remains though - what do you demand to bank check information technology for, if this is browser, why are y'all or anyone else using a browser on a server, you lot shouldn't.

If y'all are trying to secure servers (which I continue asking for more information well-nigh) and then TLS 1.2 only applies to public facing, unless you lot take information that says otherwise, but you lot are not providing details, yous only repeat the question

I to am trying to find out more info about TLS 1.2

I got this message from Microsoft "We are moving to TLS 1.two for encryption "

apparently Microsoft Office 365 will no longer support TLS 1.0 and 1.1.

ok then what do I accept to do?

I am guessing windows update already installed the update so I thinks I am ok

Really I simply remembered I have 1 2008R2 server that runs SMTP to relay messages out to O365.  I know the server has it's updates installed just I wonder too if that is enough?

Could you not use PowerShell to check the Registry record you lot mentioned?

I've non looked at REGEDIT via PowerShell before, but information technology would brand sense that this is possible.

Were you able to find out where to update to TLS 1.2 on your Win 2008R2 SMTP relay server?  I'grand looking in the IIS config and only see an choice for "TLS Encryption", nada to specify which level of encryption to use.

I take the same question...

We have IIS SMTP Relay configured in multiple environments for legacy postal service clients.... I have looked in the logs but I don't see anything that indicates the version of TLS that is in use.

Anyone find an answer to this question? I'm in the same boat. Nosotros have many printers using this for relay to O365 and printers most likely won't support TLS 1.2 or three.

tfl...

And then if Certifcate is blank or CipherLength is 0, what does that mean?

Go-TLSCipherSuite  is not available for Windows 2008/2012
